A few months ago I was on the phone with my good friend Katrina Sig, and we talked a lot about where we would like to see women’s skiing go. Our main focus was that we really wished more girls would put out content, and really boost the standard for women’s ski media. I already had plans to go to Jackson Hole for spring break, and that’s when I had the idea to get a bunch of ladies together to ski.
"When chicks get together to ride park, it's a really special thing. We feel like we did when we were little girls making mud pies in the back yard, playing tag, or climbing trees. We feel like we don't have to hide our pit stains, we don't care if we fall on our face, peeing in the woods is cold but necessary after a few PBRs, and we certainly don't mind firing off a snot rocket or two. The sound of metal hitting and sliding down metal, the feeling of balance and speed, of making it, and literally flying, landing, taking off again...those are the things we love."

I became friends with Dani Reyes-Acosta because we kept running into each other; out of all the people traveling up to Mt. Hood Meadows from Portland, this girl was always sitting at the bar next to me or in the bathroom doing yoga at the same time as I was...
The 2014 Target Maui Pro women’s surf competition crowned Clarissa Moore champion.
It was scheduled between Nov 22 and Dec 6 at Honolua Bay, and I am lucky enough to be living 10 minutes away, so I had to check it out.
Besides the natural breathtaking scenery of the bay, and the gnarly point break, the comp was fun to watch because of the women athletes who had traveled around the world to surf their brains out.
It's a cold, snowy night in Government Camp, OR. There are icicles everywhere...on the inside of our windows. Three girls gather around a little wood stove fire.
The rest is history...
